Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 September 2026

This policy covers the information this website collects, what it is used for, and what you can ask us to do with it. In this policy, "we" and "us" means Shed Builders Gold Coast. Sheds are designed and built by Faulkner Building Group, QBCC Licence No. 15535467.

Questions about this page: info@shedbuildersgoldcoast.com.au or (07) 2802 4427

  1. What We Collect

Only what you enter in the enquiry form: your name, your email address, your phone number and your suburb, plus what you tell us about the shed, such as the type, what it is for, a rough budget, the timeframe and whether you have drawings.

The form does not ask for your date of birth, your street address, or any payment or identity document. We do not collect the kinds of information the Privacy Act calls sensitive, and you should not send them to us.

  2. Why We Collect It

To call or email you back about the shed you have described, and to pass your enquiry to the builder, who works out the design and the price and builds the shed if you go ahead.

Your details do not go onto a marketing list and we do not send unsolicited email.

  3. Who Else Sees It

Your enquiry goes to the builder, who designs, quotes and builds the shed. They use your details to contact you about your job.

We keep a copy of each enquiry with a database provider so none goes missing if an email fails, and send it by email and to the system we use to manage enquiries. Those providers, and the company that hosts this site, hold your enquiry only to provide that service, and some of them store data outside Australia, including in the United States.

Where a job goes ahead, the people doing the work see what they need to do it: an engineer needs the site and the span, a certifier needs the drawings.

We do not sell your information and we do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

  4. Cookies and Tracking

We use Google Analytics to see how people use the site, such as which pages they visit and whether they call or send an enquiry. It sets cookies and reports visits as totals, not by name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

This site sets no advertising cookies.

The server keeps ordinary request logs, which record things like the address a request came from and the page it asked for. They are used to keep the site working and to see if it is being attacked.

  5. How Long We Keep It

An enquiry that does not turn into a job is deleted once there is no longer any point following it up.

Where a job goes ahead, the builder keeps its own records of the work for as long as building and tax law requires, which is measured in years rather than months.

  6. How It Is Held

Enquiries travel over an encrypted connection and are held in accounts that need a password to open.

No system is beyond reach. If something happens to your information that is likely to cause you serious harm, we have to tell you and tell the regulator, and we will.

  7. Seeing It, Fixing It, Deleting It

Email us and ask. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and there is no charge for asking.

If we cannot do what you have asked, we will tell you why.

  8. The Law This Sits Under

The Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and give us a chance to fix it. If that does not resolve it, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner takes complaints at oaic.gov.au.

Terms of Use is the other half of this. Worth a read before you send anything through.
