We fit out the inside of a shed, which is the part a kit doesn't include. A kit gives you the shell and leaves the rest to you. A shed fit out can include a mezzanine floor, a workshop layout or a man cave, and we do them in new sheds and in sheds someone else built.
Adding a Shed Mezzanine Floor
We have every mezzanine, a raised floor partway up the shed, engineered first. Its weight goes through the frame into the footings, which may not have been designed for it.
Headroom
You need enough height under the floor and above it, so the wall height is the first thing we check.
Load
Storage, an office and a home gym put very different weights on the same floor.
Access
A stair takes up floor space. A ladder doesn't, but it's harder to use every day.
Fall Protection
Railings along the open edge, called a balustrade, designed in from the start.
Making a Workshop Shed Comfortable
The roof is usually where most of the heat comes in during a Queensland summer, so we insulate it first and line the walls to do the rest.
Turning Your Shed Into a Man Cave or Lounge Room
We turn part of a shed into a room to sit in, and we make clear from the start what it's approved as.
A lounge area with a bar and a TV is common. Once someone sleeps in it, it becomes a dwelling, which is assessed differently and needs its own approval.
It's best to do the fit-out while the shed goes up. The wiring, the lights and the mezzanine floor then go in around the frame, instead of being cut in later.
If you want a mezzanine floor, we have it engineered before anything else changes in the shed.

We add or move doors and windows to suit the new layout.
Lining
We line it with panels or plasterboard, up to whatever height you want.

The floor can be sealed concrete, an epoxy coating or timber laid over the slab.

We fit a split system once the shed is lined.

We can add a bathroom, kitchenette or wash bay if you want one.
