What This Site Is

This website belongs to Shed Builders Gold Coast. It explains custom sheds on the Gold Coast and around it, and it is written to be useful to someone working out what they need. It is general information about how these buildings go together.

The sheds are designed and built by Faulkner Building Group, QBCC Licence No. 15535467. If you go ahead, your agreement for the work is with Faulkner Building Group.

It is not advice about your block, your soil, your wind exposure or your council. Those are decided on site, and by an engineer.

Nothing Here Is a Quote

No page on this site is an offer, a quote or a fixed price. Where a page describes what drives cost, it is describing the drivers, not naming a figure you can hold anyone to.

A price exists once there is a written scope, after someone has looked at the block. The contract comes after that.

About the Photographs

The images on this site are illustrations. They show the kinds of sheds on offer, and they are not photographs of completed jobs by this business.

They are labelled by build type and nothing more. None of them is captioned with a suburb, a size, a date or a client, because that would turn an illustration into a claim about work we have not shown you evidence of.

They get replaced with real job photographs as those become available.

Standards We Refer To

Where a page mentions wind regions or engineering standards such as AS/NZS 1170.2, it is describing how a building like this is usually designed.

It is not a certification. The engineering for your building is certified for your building, by the engineer who does it.

Licensing and Credentials

Building work in Queensland is licensed by the Queensland Building and Construction Commission. The sheds are built by Faulkner Building Group, QBCC Licence No. 15535467. Check the licence on the QBCC register before you sign anything. That is good practice with any builder.

This site does not display an ABN or a years-in-business figure, because we will not publish one until it is verified. If you need those before you talk to us, ask and we will give them to you.

The text, images, drawings and layout of this site belong to Shed Builders Gold Coast or are used with permission.

Read it, print it, quote a short passage with a link back. Do not republish it as your own.

Which Law Applies

The law of Queensland governs these terms.

Sheds are built across the border into the Tweed and the Northern Rivers. Where your building is in New South Wales, the planning and building rules that apply to it are that state's. These terms, which are about this website, remain under Queensland law.

Changes

We update these terms when what they describe changes. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
